Is it the fact that he’ll do anything to facilitate her whims as long as she gives him the time of the day? Or could it be that one time they had sex with some pillow talk the next morning where they barely had any lead in like a date or some attempts at serious relationship building/discussions first or after the fact (you know cuz as usual supernatural drama and Damon’s angst over the sire bond promptly took over)? I am really befuddled as to Elena’s (and therefore the writers) reasoning behind how Damon makes her feel “alive”. I just wish these writers would stop trying to force why Elena still hangs on to Damon down our throats and keep it real. This is no epic romance and she has no valid reason for being with Damon other than she likes how devoted he is to her and she likes his attention.
